The posts of Executive Committee representatives for Middle Eastern Studies, Slavonic and East European Studies, and Schools Liaison and ALL fall vacant at the end of July. We are therefore calling for nominations of suitably qualified people for these roles. The new representatives will be elected for a period of three years in the first instance, and may be re-elected for one further year.
Nomination forms and role profiles are attached herewith: please complete a form with your statement and the names of Nominator & Seconder and return to the UCML Hon. Secretary, Dr Marcela Cazzoli, on marcela.a.cazzoli@durham.ac.uk no later than noon on Thursday 14thth July 2022.
The Executive Committee meets twice a year, in person or online. Each representative is in charge of their sub-discipline or nation, and is required to submit a report at each Exec meeting (and, for the three nations, also Plenary meetings), which will be discussed at the meeting. Further detail is in the attachments.
UCML seeks to ensure a balance of sexes, regions and types of HEI (pre- and post-92) among the members of its Steering Group and Executive Committee.
Interested candidates are invited to consult the current representatives: El Mustapha Lahlali (Middle Eastern Studies) E.M.Lahlali@leeds.ac.uk, Connor Doak (Slavonic and East European Studies) connor.doak@bristol.ac.uk, and René Koglbauer (Schools Liaison) rene.koglbauer@ncl.ac.uk.
