We are delighted to announce that the following applications were successful in the fourth round of the UCML Small Grants Fund. We recognise that given the current public health crisis the organisation of these events may have to be rethought, but we will continue to support them should they be postponed or redesigned.

We received three applications and made awards to two projects, equating to £1138.50.

Elodie Vialleton, Zsuzsanna Bárkányi, Christine Pleines, Hélène Pulker, and Karina von Lindeiner-Strasky (Open University)

Project: To support an online launch event of the ‘Moving language learning online’ toolkit, developed by the Open University to share expertise in online language teaching.

Alvise Sforza Tarabochia and Wissia Fiorucci (University of Kent)

Project: To support the Modern Languages Teaching Forum, aimed at bringing together teachers of modern languages at all levels to share good practice and discuss the challenges facing the sector, support language teaching and promote the uptake of language learning.

We wish all successful applicants every success with their projects and will be posting project reports in due course.
