Call for Nominations for two roles on the UCML Executive Committee:  Representative for Institution-Wide Language Teaching & Representative for Northern Ireland

The new Representatives for Institution-Wide Language Teaching and for Northern Ireland will take up their roles on 31 July 2020.

Nomination forms are attached herewith: please complete a form with your statement and the names of Nominator & Seconder & return to the UCML Hon. Secretary, Dr Marcela Cazzoli, on marcela.a.cazzoli@durham.ac.uk, by noon on Thursday 28 May 2020.

The Executive Committee meets twice a year, in person or online. Each representative is in charge of their sub-discipline or nation, and is required to submit a report at each Exec meeting (and, for the three nations, also Plenary meetings), which will be discussed at the meeting. Further detail is in the attachments.

All Exec members are also expected to attend the biannual UCML Plenaries, in January & June/July of each year.

UCML seeks to ensure a balance of sexes, regions and types of HEI (pre- and post-92) among the members of its Executive Committee.

Further information on the roles can be sought from the present Representative for Institution-Wide Language Teaching Caroline Campbell (C.Campbell@leeds.ac.uk), and the present Representative for Northern Ireland Sarah Bowskill (s.bowskill@qub.ac.uk).
