Date: 30 January 2020
Location: House of Commons
Colleagues from UCML member organisations are warmly invited to a language policy workshop on Languages, Business, Trade and Innovation on 30 January 2020 at the House of Commons (Dining Room A). There will be a number of talks by representatives from the Department for International Trade, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Northern Ireland Executive etc., followed by discussion. The morning will begin with coffee at 10.30 and the workshop will run from 10.45 to 12.45, followed by lunch from 12.45 to 1.30. Attendance is free, but registration is essential because of security issues and the need for catering numbers.
We will send a formal personalised invitation (with details of the entrance to the HOC etc.) to those who have registered: you must bring the formal invitation on the day along with photographic ID.
This event is organised by Wendy Ayres-Bennett as part of the AHRC Multilingualism: Empowering Individuals, Transforming Societies programme, and by Janice Carruthers, as part of her AHRC Modern Languages Priority Area Leadership Fellowship.
